Hurricane Season runs from June 1 to November 30.

After hauling sandbags, boarding windows, hunting for bottled water and witnessing awful destruction, most of us are weary—and very wary—of hurricane season. This year, experts predict six to ten hurricanes, but it only takes one to make for a devastating season.  

While we continue our year-round work to strengthen the electric grid and stand ready to respond quickly to outages, we urge you to prepare so your loved ones and your home are safe.  Our Storm Center answers common questions and concerns after last year’s unprecedented hurricane season.
