TECO Team Members Walking the Walk for Earth Month

For Earth Month, TECO team members are showing up in full force to prove that when it comes to protecting our environment, we don’t just talk the talk - we walk the cleanup. From supporting Tampa Bay Lightning’s Go Green Night to helping prep Tampa for the NCAA Women’s Final Four, TECO volunteers are making a real impact.

From Cleanup to Puck Drop: Go Green Night

Recently, Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful’s 5th Annual Great Port Cleanup brought together TECO and Tampa Bay Lightning volunteers to tackle debris around AJ Palonis Gandy Park South — a prime port location in need of a little TLC. Together, volunteers safely removed bags of trash and marine debris, helping keep Tampa Bay waters clean.

Championship Campus Cleanup

TECO's sustainability streak didn’t stop there. On March 30, we proudly sponsored the Championship Campus Cleanup alongside the Tampa Bay Local Organizing Committee, NCAA and Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful. In preparation for the NCAA Women’s Final Four, our volunteers hit the Tampa Riverwalk and helped collect over 500 pounds of trash - ensuring Tampa looked its best for visitors from across the country.

As the official Sustainability Partner of the NCAA Women’s Final Four, we also took the lead in offsetting the carbon footprint of the tournament through our Sun to Go solar block program, while supporting recycling and overall waste reduction throughout the game days.

We are deeply grateful to all our team members who continue to selflessly volunteer and support our Earth Day efforts. Your dedication makes a lasting impact!
